Site Upgrades

We’ve been working on a few upgrades (as you may have noticed) to make the site better for our users. Other than updating some of the background coding, the most noticeable differences are the additions to our sidebar:

Translators

Since we seem to get a number of users from outside the United States — most notably Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany (Welcome, by the way.) — we’ve added translation capabilities. Just click the appropriate flag in the sidebar under the “Translate” heading. We’d like to specially thank Davide Pozza for his exceptional work in making this possible.

Tag Cloud

The tag cloud added to the sidebar is a visual way to see what we write about the most here. We’ve taken the time to “tag” every post here with every possible word or phrase that users might search for to find each post. Think of it as a kind of weighted index. The bigger the word or phrase appears in the “tag cloud,” the more posts it’s related to. Clicking the tag will take you to all the related posts. For this we’d like to thank Dennis Hueckelheim.
